Joseph Olisaemeka Wilson’s polymorphic practice draws references from American popular culture, modern art, and African folklore. By exploring themes related to colonialism, archaeology, and space exploration, the artist brings together antagonistic universes, which come to life in a sensitive time and space.

Everything Go Scatter unfolds the artist’s dystopian world in a new series of works on canvas and drawings. It depicts a fantastic universe, where interstellar jousts, featuring animals, exoskeletons, and spirits, alternate with ritual dances in a syncretism that testifies to the artist’s overflowing imagination.
